LINC Navigators are trained to help victims navigate complex legal systems. The program was created to address four major needs identified by crime victims: education, collaboration, resources and trauma-informed services. Navigators are not paid positions and can be any person on your staff who is working with crime victims’ legal and collateral needs.
The needs of victims are diverse and LINC Navigators are trained to support all types of victims to help organizations be more efficient and trauma-informed in working with victims of crime.
LINC Navigators act as a central point of contact to connect victims with resources they need, making the process as simple and streamlined as possible. By connecting victims to a LINC Navigator, partner organizations are able to focus their resources and energy on the victims they serve, not the system.
Becoming a LINC Navigator involves a two-day orientation training, staying up to date on legal issues related to crime victims and attending monthly Navigator meetings.
